2012 FAQ Kitshouse P4A Dec 17th-Dec19th

We will have the links for the 2012 Kitshouse Project for Awesome (P4A) Videos on this page starting at 9am Dec17th.  The goal is to get 10,000 views and as many likes and comments on each of these videos within the subsequent 48 hours to ‘hack’ google analytics so that they make it to the front pages of youtube so that even more people get to see them and start thinking and talking about community!!!  Most of the videos will be uploaded to our youtube channel to help the public find them, but  for late submissions we will make sure we put the links here if we don’t have time to get them uploaded.  We encourage you to watch all the videos when you first start, and below we have the order we will be working to get them on the front pages of youtube.

Playlist of the the 2012 Kitshouse P4A you can set to autoplay http://www.youtube.com/user/KitsHouseP4A/videos?flow=grid&view=1

Yes if you didn’t get a chance to make a 2012 Kitshouse P4A Challenge Video but really wanted to, we will be doing it again in 2013, and will be applying for grants to do more video making workshops!

Yes if this challenge excites you and you want to support more community building, you can donate to Kitshouse here.

Car2Go Vancouver has a Kitshouse P4A Dare afoot to help spread the word and only needs a few more views of it’s community video to meet it’s 250 view Pie in the Face Dare!  (apparently we can have a say in what kind =P)

If you wish to submit a Kitshouse P4A Challenge Video, upload it to you youtube as unlisted and email the link to kitshouseprojectforawesome@yahoo.ca and leave it unlisted until after Dec19th, UNLESS you hear from us to make it public if we don’t  have time to get it uploaded to our channel before the start time.  The reason for this is that we want google and youtube analytics to only count the views and comments in ONE place so that these vids can reach the front pages of youtube.

AND that’s not all for on Jan 4th we are having a wrap up potluck where you will get to meet the video makers, share about digital storytelling, talk to the video making workshop facilitator AND have input in the 2013 Kitshouse P4A and upcoming Video Making Workshops!

Please post any other questions in the comments below and we will answer them as best as we can =)

Help Spread the Word, Kitshouse Project for Awesome Community Challenge

We are heading into the final stretch and we need your help to spread the word to come to youtube on Dec 17 and for the following 48 hours and participate in the Kitshouse Project for Awesome (P4A) Community Challenge to work together to push Kitshouse P4A vids to the front pages of youtube and in so doing help DECREASE WORLD SUCK!!

Come to this wordpress during that time (or our twitter https://twitter.com/KitsHouseP4A) and we will direct you to where the videos are so you can view. rate. comment. and like these videos A LOT to get them on the front pages of youtube and so share their awesomeness with even more people.

AND as an incentive, Kitshouse Staffers have a dare that if the first Kitshouse P4A challenge vid that we work to get to the front pages of youtube gets 1000  view during the 2012 P4A they will wear pajamas to work Jan 18th, AND as with all dares, PICS OR IT DIDN’T HAPPEN!!  Feel free to add your own dares to get folks participating!  but do let us know about them so we can spread the word!

Until then let’s work together to fulfil Car2Go’s Kitshouse P4A Dare.  250 views of this video where Car2go’s staffers talk about their community experience and work to get the public community building through the Kitshouse P4A with their pie in the face dare.  And seriously, who doesn’t love pie =D
